Summary:Awards for All Scotland offers small grants to encourage participation in art, sport and community activities and projects promoting education, the environment and health in the local community. A range of organisations can apply but priority is given to smaller voluntary and community groups in Scotland with an annual income of £100,000 or less. Community Broadband Scotland - The Start Up Fund


Funding Title: Community Broadband Scotland - The Start Up Fund

Summary:The Scottish Government has invested £7.5 million to help establish superfast broadband in hard to reach areas of Scotland and to provide a Start Up Fund. The Start Up Fund is intended to help communities with the costs involved in establishing local community-led projects to access superfast broadband services – where projects can demonstrate local need and demand, and the capacity to make it happen at a reasonable cost.

Garfield Weston Foundation


Award Amount: Variable

Summary:The Garfield Weston Foundation supports the work of a wide range of UK registered charities and some charity exempt organisations such as churches, hospitals, educational establishments and housing corporations. Whilst the Foundation has no set priority interests, recent awards have supported projects in the Arts, Community, Education, Welfare, Medical, Religion, Youth and Environment. Santander Foundation- Discovery Grants


Funding Title: Community Plus

Award Amount: up to £5,000

Summary:Designed to be quick and easy to use, nominations can be made by charities as well as Santander customers and staff. To apply or nominate visit any Santander branch. The funder does specify the grant needs to be something specific, directly help disadvantaged people in your local area and grants will only be paid to a UK registered charity. For further details visit the funders website. There are no closing dates and entries will be regularly considered by a panel of staff drawn from across the region.

Technology Trust Software Donation Programme


Award Amount: Charities are expected to pay a relatively small administration fee but the programme offers savings between 92-96% on typical retail prices.

Summary:The TT Programme offers donated technology products from Partners such as Microsoft, Symantec and Cisco, to eligible UK Registered Charities and Charitable Housing Associations. The products are available via the TT exchange online shop and the programme is managed as a partnership between the Charity Technology Trust and TechSoup.

The Robertson Trust


Award Amount: No maximum or minimum grant amount - usually between £500 - £100,000. Average grant £10,000 per annum. For capital projects awards maximum 10% of total capital costs.

Summary:The Robertson Trust offers grant assistance to registered UK charities under four main priority areas:- Care,health, education & training community arts, community sport, alcohol misuse and criminal justice.

Welcome Trust


Award Amount: various funds available

Summary:Public Engagement funding schemes. Wellcome offer up to £10 million per year to support projects that investigate biomedical science and its social contexts. Projects can consider the social, cultural, ethical and historical issues related to biomedical science. There are various funds available varying from science to art or films on the theme of biomedical science.

Young Start - Big Lottery Fund


Award Amount: Between £10,000 and £50,000

Summary:The Big Lottery Young Start programme in Scotland distributes money from dormant bank accounts. It aims to create opportunities for children and young people aged between 8 and 24 years old to be confident, healthy, connected and enterprising. Grants may cover up to 100% of project and can be against both capital and revenue expenditure.
